A Palace, A Penthouse & Diamonds, Oh My!

Over the years, we have had the privilege of discovering and transforming some of Hawaii’s most beautiful and unique venues for Events of all types and sizes. Recently, we showcased one of our all-time favorites, Iolani Palace, as well as a new venue, the Waiea at Ward Village Penthouse, for two separate Events we produced for a high-end jeweler.

The idea was to select two distinct venues that matched the beauty of the jeweler’s new line. On the first night, Guests arrived by private transportation at the front steps of Iolani Palace. They ascended a red carpet on the Palace stairs to the front lanai for a cocktail reception, where Royal Guards also stood. Following the reception, Guests were treated to a private tour of the Palace and then escorted to the basement gallery, which features select items from the Royal Collection, including photographs and jewels, as well as the restored Kitchen and Chamberlain’s Office.

While events are not often hosted in this area, we set up a long King’s Table with clean, modern décor. Guests were then treated to a four-course meal prepared by Chef Chris Kajioka of Senia, while a harpist played in the background. The dinner table was surrounded by vitrines, and models walked throughout the gallery showcasing the new jewels.

The following evening, Guests were transported to Waiea at Ward Village, where they were escorted up to the penthouse suite. Inside, they were greeted by breathtaking panoramic views as they mixed and mingled. Jewels were showcased in vitrines set up throughout the room and along the king’s table, which was dressed with elegant white linens, complemented by simple flower arrangements featuring white, pink and purple roses. Guests enjoyed an exquisite meal prepared by Chef Nobu.
