HONOLULU, HI (April 1, 2009) – The Friends of The Contemporary Museum have selected Current Affairs to provide special events support for its upcoming major annual fundraiser, ConTempo 2009. Hawaii’s leading event planning and production company will work with event organizers to magically transform the Ferry Terminal at Pier 19 into a chic nautical experience.
The gala event, taking place April 18, 2009, will feature a sit-down dinner by Chef Chai Chaowasaree of Chai’s Island Bistro, a silent auction, contemporary art sale, dancing and live entertainment. Hawaii Stage and Lighting Rentals will provide the special effects. In addition, Current Affairs will create a stylish and contemporary outdoor bar and lounge on the pier outside the Ferry Terminal using LED-lighted lounge tables; a first for Hawaii.
