Part of that journey of discovery, trust and success includes getting to know who we are.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Current Affairs, a company founded by my parents. My father, originally from Britain, traveled extensively before settling in Hawaii with my mother, Violet. Entrepreneurial spirit runs in our family; my great-grandfather Alan developed land near Windsor Castle into a successful tree nursery and horse stable. This legacy of innovation continued with my grandfather, who opened an antique shop and a sports equipment business. Nurtured by this entrepreneurial environment, my father’s passion for events began when he hosted gatherings featuring his homemade beer. This love for celebration led him to establish Current Affairs in 1984, which has since produced memorable events for countless clients across Hawaii. Starting from our humble Kaimuki home, Current Affairs has evolved into a family business renowned for its creativity, attention to detail and aloha. Today, we are proud to have earned a reputation that embodies our commitment to excellence in event production. Our deep roots and long history in Hawaii offers our Client the best connections for an incredible event experience.
