We recently helped two iconic brands celebrate two very different special events in Hawaii – but both with the same attention to detail, level of high-quality service, innovation, and creativity for which our events are known.
Brand #1: Outrigger Hotels & Resorts
We were approached by Outrigger Hotels & Resorts to help plan and produce a 70th anniversary to remember. Our visual designer incorporated the hotel company’s legacy and future, creating two distinct yet complementary experiences.
As Guests entered the event through an archway of vintage beaded curtains, they were taken back to the halcyon days of Waikiki. Large rattan chairs, hula girl lamps, coconut monkeys, and bright and colorful tropical jewel tones created a Don Tiki feel in a nod to the company’s heritage.
Further inside, the event was designed to showcase a clean and contemporary perspective of Waikiki. The mostly white decor with pops of color was a play on vintage Waikiki but with a refreshed look. Tikis, wicker furniture and our bamboo bar were designed with clean, white finishes to give a modern feel, and our Team created a custom surfboard step-n-repeat to display all of our Client’s sponsors and Partners.
Brand #2: Howard Hughes Corporation
We helped bring the Howard Hughes Corporation’s vision to life for the groundbreaking of Central Plaza, a new park space in Ward Village. Staged on an active construction site, this raw environment allowed our Team to transform the space and cast vision for the exciting future of Central Plaza.
Guests soaked in a stunning mauka to makai view on an elevated six foot high platform designed to generate excitement for what’s to come in Central Plaza. Tables, chairs, large umbrellas and other event décor were branded in Ward Village’s signature yellow, and Guests enjoyed delicious food from Flyin Ahi and Local Stop food trucks. Live music also filled the air, as Guests walked through the space and viewed large renderings of the park, which showcased some of the intended uses for the space, including a planned farmers market and Ward’s Kona Nui Nights.
