June begins the season of “I Do”

June 2019 – One of my best friends from childhood ties the knot this month and as I get ready for my role as the maid of honor, it reminds me that June begins the season of “I do.” In fact, Hawaii is host to more than 20,000 weddings every year.

While every marriage is unique, there is one thing that all engaged couples who come to us have in common. It’s a deep desire to create a one-of-a-kind magical moment that can’t be produced with any other Team. It’s a longing for something extraordinary and exquisite that will be their moment that marks the first page of the next chapter in their book of life. We specialize in making memories that will help weather time and light their journey.

In our 35-year history, Current Affairs has produced thousands of weddings, rehearsal receptions, anniversaries and more. Our collective of producers, designers, floral artists, and Chefs create custom-crafted experiences that are one-of-a-kind expressions of two lives coming together in matrimony. A Bollywood inspired event for hundreds of Guests at a mega resort. A mouth-watering vegan lovers wedding in a historic home tucked in a Hawaiian rainforest. A celebrity’s secret breezy beachfront wedding in paradise. An elegant, timeless affair with just a handful of those closest to heart.

It’s notes of thanks like this one from Chris and Jeff, media executives from New York that inspire us. “We so appreciate you and your team’s efforts to produce an amazing, memorable wedding for us. We truly enjoyed and had fun throughout the planning process, and the day-of execution was flawless. Thank you, and I hope our paths cross again!”

For these Clients, they desired an understated yet unmistakable Hawaiian elegance for their welcome reception in which friends and family gathered from all over the world at sunset at Chris’ waterfront family home. Guests were treated to a sumptuous buffet with a sushi Chef, a smoky grill station and handmade shave ice. The golden flames of tiki torches and a fire pit reached up to the night sky along with the laughter of children. It was the perfect prelude to their wedding at Halekulani.

Love blossoms in beautiful ways and we are so inspired by the season of happily ever after.
