Liljestrand

The Liljestrand Estate is the idyllic location for a stunning wedding with its incredible panoramic views and romantic appeal. Many couples would love to say their “I Do’s” at this location with Diamond Head positioned picturesque in the background. The historic Liljestrand Estate lies atop Mount Tantalus and, as such, provides a cool breeze for a bride looking to avoid the heat, while still reminding Guests that they are in Hawaii with its beautiful tropical backdrop.

Making this location truly spectacular is the opportunity to have representatives of the Estate’s Foundation enlighten Guests with the fascinating evolution of the property from royal lands to its current status as a national historic icon.

We recently planned an intimate wedding and reception at the Liljestrand Estate for 50 Guests, which was seen as a beyond elegant affair. The ceremony was set on the lawn area overlooking the sparkling pool below. The mahogany Chiavari chairs along the aisle were adorned with white hydrangeas and green-eyed roses, complementing the colors in the bridal party’s bouquets and boutonnières.  After the ceremony, Guests enjoyed a cocktail reception on the upper lanai and were later invited under an elegant clear top tent on the main lawn for the remainder of the evening. Under the tent stood our rustic wooden harvest tables topped with glass cylinder centerpieces filled with a mixture of white, kiwi and antique green hydrangeas to keep with the earthy theme.  Guests enjoyed Chef David’s delicious food and beverages as they listened to the sweet harmonies of the Ian O’Sullivan Trio throughout the evening.

Recently, we held a small Corporate celebration for 50 Guests at the estate. This unique location proved to be the perfect selection for the VIPs in attendance. The indoor-outdoor event was an enormous success, as Guests enjoyed the option to gaze at the city lights under a canopy of trees or relax indoors on comfy couches and daybeds. The event took on a primarily white concept with white Chiavari chairs and centerpieces composed of various elegant white florals.
