Iolani Palace

For a truly royal affair, look no further than Iolani Palace, a Hawaiian national treasure and the only official state residence of royalty in the United States. Iolani Palace was the home to King Kalakaua, who built the palace in 1882, and Queen Liliuokalani, the final two monarchs of the Hawaiian Kingdom.

Once a hub for social and political activity in the Kingdom of Hawaii, today the palace provides an extraordinary venue day or night. The location’s design is of royal caliber with exquisite coral block structures crafted from limestone and various majestic parapets. The European influence is boldly apparent in the building’s architecture, which emulates that of medieval times.

It has been our immense honor and privilege to hold grand events at this historically rich and stunning location. For example, we recently coordinated an event for a luxury French fashion brand, which fit flawlessly with the palace’s royal character and European ambiance. The tables and décor were designed to reflect the regal setting, from the style of the custom fitted linens all the way down to the exquisite floral centerpieces, made of Catelaya Blossoms along with red and orange Mokara Orchids, which were arranged on the tables.

Upon arrival, Guests were given a tour of the palace and offered a chilled glass of champagne at the end the tour on the lanai overlooking the event space that was nestled in amongst Queen Liliuokalani’s favorite banyan tree. Once Guests exited the palace and began the cocktail hour, the King’s Guards, which had posed with Guests as they arrived, preformed a skilled precision drill routine.  Signaling the transition to dinner, the King’s Guards performed their precision rifle drill routine and then escorted to a fabulous dinner and entertainment under the umbrella of the magnificently illuminated Banyan Tree.

Kualoa

Kualoa is one of our absolute favorite locations to plan events, not only because it was the setting for many monumental productions such as Jurassic Park, Lost and 50 First Dates, but also due to the variety of settings that it offers. From beach to garden to authentic paradise retreats, Kualoa features a mix of unique outdoor locations.

For a scenic beach event, specifically a wedding, one of Kualoa’s most coveted locations is its Secret Island Beach, which offers a picturesque venue with stunning views of Kaneohe Bay in the background.  The Paliku Gardens and the Moli’i Gardens provide outdoor garden settings with breathtaking views. The open air, Hale Moili’i Pavilion, which is set on the edge of a 125-acre ancient Hawaiian fishpond, is both culturally significant and spectacularly beautiful.

Even though we have planned many weddings at Kualoa, including the special celebrity wedding featured in our last E-VENTures article; we also look to Kualoa for Corporate incentive events. For example, we recently held an all-day and night exclusive Corporate retreat for an Australian incentive group, which was a tremendous success.  Guests were able to experience a variety of activities offered at Kualoa, including horseback and ATV rides, jungle expeditions, ranch and movie set tours, fishpond and garden tours, ocean voyages and more! In addition to the tours led by the staff at Kualoa, we arranged various traditional Hawaiian activities and a spectacular dinner with entertainment under the stars.

Kualoa is an excellent location because there is so much land, beauty and history to work with. Additionally, it provides our Clients with a glimpse into the nature and splendor of an untouched Hawaii. Many of our Clients are not from Hawaii and we take pride in showing them the world that lies beyond the hustle and bustle of Waikiki.
