It is Hawaii’s leading full-service event planning and production company and has earned a reputation for its exquisite taste, unrivaled creativity, personalized approach and supreme attention to detail. Founded in 1984, the company has created thousands of exclusive events for a wide variety of private and corporate Clients from around the world, combining unique entertainment concepts with imaginative design at memorable locations throughout the Hawaiian Islands. It specializes in intimate to grandiose affairs from corporate events, street festivals to galas and weddings.
Tiffany Richardson
Tiffany grew up in the family business that was founded in 1984. Her talent for Productions was nurtured by a parade of entertainers, luminaries, Chefs, creatives and event maestros who shaped her view of the world.
As the Company’s President and an event storyteller, she ensures that every event is a unique expression of a Client and one that will create an emotional experience and memories to last of a lifetime.
She lives and works by her motto– “Attract what you expect. Reflect what you desire. Become what you respect. Mirror what you admire.”
Junior Gardner
Junior may have grown up in Waipahu but he grew up professionally at Current Affairs. At the age of 19, he joined the company and embraced events as his lifetime career. A natural born leader, he knows how to run the show. What he loves most about his job is the beauty of the process and “watching it all come to life.”
His Motto: “Take care of the little things and the big things will take care of themselves.”
Kelsey Matsuda
Born and raised on Oahu, Kelsey received her training from Hawaii Community College and is currently a member of the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii’s Young Professionals Program. Prior to joining Current Affairs, she served as Co-Manager at Bebe. She has previous experience as the Sales and Catering Coordinator at Hilton Waikiki Beach Hotel and brings more than 10 years of retail experience with leadership roles at Kay Jewelers, Lucky Brand Jeans and other retailers.
OUR FOUNDERS
Founders Philip and Violet Richardson established Current Affairs nearly 40 years ago in Honolulu. In the 1980s, the company first operated out of the founders’ Kaimuki home. It has grown into a family business with Hawaii’s most creative collective of innovators, designers and producers as part of our ohana. It produces events throughout Hawaii on every island.
