Four Events, Four Days, Four Seasons

You can imagine as Event producers, just how excited we are to discover new Event venues. Let us tell you, the new Four Seasons Resort at Ko Olina did not disappoint, as we planned and produced three special events over three days for a Client and her friends and family. Take a closer look at the three very unique and different events we created by transforming both indoor and outdoor settings.

Modern Day Luau

This was the theme for an intimate dinner held on the lawn of the Four Seasons Resort. We arranged four farm tables to create one long dining table, adorned with tabletop tikis and vibrant flower arrangements provided by our Partner, Sweet Leilani. Guests were seated in traditional bamboo chairs – each dressed with a different color lei – and themed place settings featured monkeypod chargers, coconut goblets and shantung poppy napkins. A tiki area was also created for keiki, where they were seated on lauhala mats with custom bird of paradise cushions and enjoyed dinner on low surfboard tables.

Hanukkah Glam Cinema

We were tasked with incorporating a little glitz and glamour into this traditional holiday celebration, and that’s what we delivered in the Four Season’s penthouse suite. The Event started with dinner on the private rooftop lanai, where one giant round table was set for 15 Guests and dressed in gold, white and blue. The table featured a white linen tablecloth with gold print accompanied by gold flatware and charger, cobalt blue goblets, and napkins with custom-made napkin rings fashioned from gold spray painted film. Sweet Leilani provided a combination of white roses and orchids in gold vases, and our Design Team customized the centerpiece by weaving gold spray-painted film throughout the flowers and using gold spray-painted film reels as risers with gold candelabras to tie back into the Hanukkah theme. Guests were seated in gold chiavari chairs with sapphire blue cushions but did we mention they were dressed in pajama attire? That’s because the second phase of the evening consisted of a private movie screening in the penthouse theater.

To the Stars

For the third Event, we produced an astronomy-themed night under the stars. As Guests arrived at Pohaku Point, they were greeted with a starry sky created by small drip LED lights strung through the trees. We used farm tables to create one long table, dressed with deep eggplant linens, black goblets, silver chargers, and flatware. When conceptualizing the floral arrangements, our Visual Designer, Kaitlyn, was particularly inspired by Japanese botanical artist, Azuma Makoto, who creates floral arrangements and sends them into space to be photographed from above. With this in mind, our Team fashioned floral spheres incorporating orchids, air plants, roses and irises set on clear cylinders and vases to create a floating centerpiece effect. It was out of this world!

Lighting Up the Night

Current Affairs collaborated with Four Seasons Oahu to create a dining experience on Pohaku Point. Decor elements in black and silver were used for an elegant yet celebratory feeling for this New Year’s Eve event. Colorful lighting was used throughout the event space to create ambiance with dynamic color. After dinner, Guests enjoyed the fireworks and festivities from their VIP lounge on the FSO floating pontoon.
