December 3, 2019 – Hot on the heels of Black Friday’s frenzy and Small Business Saturday’s sales, Giving Tuesday takes center stage with grace and serves as a reminder to us all of the important work and needs of our nonprofit community. It’s only fitting that today we honor a growing group of change-makers who we are proud to call Clients.
Hawaii’s nonprofit landscape is ever-changing and dynamic. In the past, charity galas were always in-house productions spun by a staffer or department that had little event planning bandwidth to produce resource-intensive events. Nearly always these events required multiple staff to be reassigned to help in some capacity which meant less time for mission delivery.
There are more than 7,000 nonprofits in Hawaii, as opposed to several hundred when our business began 35 years ago. The competition for donations is fierce and events play a pivotal role in annual fundraising goals. To compete, many charities recognize that in order to break through the cacophony of competition requires brand-building events that in-turn become signature statements of their mission.
We have worked with nonprofits in a variety of ways from event management to full-service production. Our goal is to bring people closer to the mission. We help nonprofits articulate their brands in a way that forges deeper relationships with existing and prospective donors and sponsors.
Recently, we have been privileged to work with so many: Hanahauoli School for it’s centennial anniversary; RYSE’s 2019 Celebration to support homeless youth; YMCA’s 150th Anniversary; and Honolulu Museum of Art’s Kama‘aina Christmas.
